National Film Registry…

Friday, December 29th, 2006

Every year the Library of Congress names films to the National Film Registry. These movies are to be preserved… for all time. Here are some of the films that made it in for 2006: Blazing Saddles, Fargo, Halloween, Groundhog Day, and Rocky. Have you seen Rocky Balboa? I can’t wait to see it… maybe this weekend.

The Golden Globe nominations were announced last week. The Golden Globes have two Best Picture categories, one for drama and the other for comedy or musical. I have seen only one movie from both of these categories. The following are nominated for drama: BABEL, BOBBY, THE DEPARTED, LITTLE CHILDREN, and THE QUEEN. Here are the movies from the comedy/musical category: BORAT, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, DREAMGIRLS, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, and THANK YOU FOR SMOKING.

Have you seen any of Best Motion Picture nominees? Do you have another favorite?

What’s your favorite?

It’s that time of year again…. the holidays? Do you have a favorite movie you watch every year?? Is it more than just one? I can’t go through December without watching A Christmas Story… with Ralphie and his Red Ride BB gun.

Does anyone know what holiday television show the Burgermeister is from?
